AR5 Users,

AR5 version 5.1.0.2, which is live now, expands and improves AR5's publication controls. With publication controls, you can determine what appears on your site and when. There are now two ways of controlling publication, the publish button and the publication dates, and they can be used for pages, modules, and form fields. Let's take a closer look.

The publish/unpublish button is available on details pages for pages, modules, and form fields. Click the button to publish an item that's unpublished, and to unpublish an item that is published. When an item is unpublished, it will not appear on your front-end website, and its name will appear in gray throughout the CMS.

Under the info tab on the details page of a page, module, or form field you'll find the “start date” and “end date” fields. If you enter a date in either or both of these fields, the item in question will appear on the front end only if today's date falls within the range specified by the date(s) you entered. These fields are optional except in the case of articles, for which the start date is required.

Note that either publication control can prevent an object from appearing on your website. To show up on the front end, an object must both be published and be current with respect to its publication dates.
