AR5 Users,
AR version 5.0.3.8 is now live, bringing with it a variety of exciting updates. Let’s take a look at what’s new.
Back-end previews have been reengineered to accommodate every module type, including galleries, forms, feeds, and many more. Previews allow you to get a sense of what your content will look like on your website without having to visit a front-end page. As you change content or options, previews will update to reflect your changes. You’ll see previews wherever modules are assigned—such as pages—as well as on the details pages for certain types of modules.
Container pages and redirect pages now include additional labeling in their page titles to indicate what type of page they are. For instance, a container page titled “Page 34: About Us” would now have the title “Page 34: About Us [Container].” In addition, the content tabs on container and redirect pages have been grayed out to indicate that content on such pages will not appear on the front end. Both the container and redirect options are available under a page’s info tab, in the nav + seo card.
The new member directory module expands our growing set of community features by enabling you to present member record information on a front-end page for other members or the public to see. Member record data in a directory module is much like form record data in a data module: it’s sortable, filterable, and searchable, and you can customize both what information appears and how it's styled. Contact us to learn more about this exciting new feature.
These changes constitute a significant improvement to the quality of day-to-day publishing in AR5. They’ve been in development for some time, and we’re excited to finally share them with you. If you have any questions about this release or about anything else, don’t hesitate to contact us—we’d love to hear from you. As always, we thank you for choosing Agency of Record.
Sincerely,
The AR Team
AR5 Users,
The latest update to AR5 is now here, bringing with it a number of improvements to our suite of tools for front-end design. Themes have been expanded to include more types of page content, and you can now create and define custom module styles that you can apply, on the fly, to modules on the page. Let's take a closer look.
